Magnificent architecture, splendid museums and dramatic scenery are all well and good, but when planning a trip, we anticipate the eating as much as anything. Since experiencing great food and drink is one of the prime pleasures of traveling, we asked Andrew Harper members to share some their favorite culinary experiences. The answers had our mouths watering!

Amanjiwo, Indonesia 

Our top ever was years ago at Amanjiwo in central Java, near the temple of Borobudur. The hotel did a private custom dinner for the two of us in the Presidential Suite with 30 musicians. It was an outstanding experience I’ll never forget. — K. J.
