Travelers with an appreciation for the dramatic will surely love the Riviera Nayarit along Mexico’s Pacific Coast, where verdant, rugged bluffs plunge into the Pacific, cupping secluded beaches of golden sand. Resorts tuck themselves into the tropical dry forest just behind the water, sometimes building accommodations, restaurants and even swimming pools partially on stilts, so steep is the photogenic terrain.
