La Posta Vecchia

An hour outside Rome, La Posta Vecchia is a seaside palazzo that dates to the 17th century. In the 1960s, it became the private retreat of billionaire Jean Paul Getty, who furnished the estate with Renaissance-era art and antiques. Today, it’s a luxury hotel owned by Pellicano Hotels Group, which operates two other Italian properties we recommend: Hotel Il Pellicano, on the Argentario Coast of Tuscany, and Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa, on the island of Ischia.

This video will take you on a tour of La Posta Vecchia and its grounds, highlighting the mansion’s stunning indoor pool, cozy salons and my spacious guest room with a sea view.
