Contemporary luxury comes in many forms, as evidenced by the widely contrasting styles of our Hotels of the Year. Award winners include a sleek skyscraper resort, an opulent palazzo, a tented jungle hideaway, a fishing village turned beach escape and plush mountain lodges. From these wonderful properties, we hiked to Buddhist temples, ventured into the South African bush and embarked on gourmet Parisian dinner cruises. Of course, we reviewed numerous fine hotels in 2024, but the award-winners below truly dazzled us and made our stays unforgettable.

As always, our small editorial team selected the winners of the Editors’ Choice Awards on a completely independent basis. We stayed at each property incognito, posing as Andrew Harper members and paying full price.
