Days 2 - 3

Amritsar, India

The city of Amritsar is best-known for the Golden Temple, one of the holiest sites in the Sikh religion. Experience a seamless blend of jaw-dropping architecture, warm hospitality and captivating peace. This magnificent structure with sparkling golden walls and intricate designs is an absolute treat for the eyes. Standing tall in the middle of the massive pool often gives an illusion that the spectacular Golden Temple is floating in the water. The sight is incredibly beautiful and leaves an imprint on the soul.

Day 4

Thar Desert, India

This journey is about the thrill of the unknown and pushing the boundaries of your travel experiences. Experience the contrasts of the starkly beautiful Thar Desert, an arid landscape that brings together a vibrant community of chili and mustard farmers, carpet weavers, metalsmiths and potters.

Drive through the Thar Desert by Jeep to visit the Bishnoi tribe—the desert’s native residents. Get a glimpse of village life as you witness a traditional opium ceremony, visit a local home and meet the blacksmiths, weavers and shoemakers who make essential supplies for the village.

Enjoy delicious traditional Indian cuisine under the stars, accompanied by entertainment, on the desert dunes in the Thar Desert.

Days 5-6

Hampi, India

Situated amid the boulder-strewn hills of Southern India, Hampi is a UNESCO World Heritage site offering a journey through the expansive open-air museum of the Vijayanagara Empire. Featuring around 1,600 intriguing ruins of temples, palaces and ancient markets, it is said to rival the grandeur of the Taj Mahal in a landscape like no other.

Explore two temples, observing devotees engaged in prayer and making offerings. See the three monoliths on Hemakuta Hill: the Sasivekalu Ganesha, the Shiva Linga, and the Narasimha statue from the 14th century.

Days 7-9

Maldives

Spend three nights in this nation of islands, enjoying ocean activities, a sunset dolphin cruise, spa time and relaxation from your over-water villa. The coral reef teems with abundant marine life including anemones, sweet lips, sea turtles and more than 700 species of fish.

Explore the underwater kingdom beneath the translucent turquoise waters with snorkeling and scuba diving experiences, including an optional shark experience. Ply the sparkling waters by kayak or paddle board or spend a day windsurfing and waterskiing.

Days 10-12

Dambulla, Sri Lanka

Experience four different UNESCO World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka. This serene and lush haven, where ancient relics lie undisturbed in the dense jungle, will delight outdoor and history enthusiasts alike.

In the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, marvel at the massive sculptures of Buddha, carved directly into the rock and considered some of the best examples of Sinhalese art.

Days 13-14

Return to Athens

Depart Sri Lanka and fly to Athens, where we will enjoy a farewell dinner at the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens. You will return home on your independent flight the following day.
