Days 2-4

Tbilisi, Georgia

Tbilisi is earning raves as one of the hottest travel destinations by outlets as diverse as Vogue and Lonely Planet. The narrow winding streets of the Old Town, the tantalizing flavors of Georgian cuisine and access to stunning mountain landscapes are just a few reasons to visit this former Soviet republic.

Begin your exploration in the historic Metekhi district, where much of the architecture dates to the golden age of the Georgian Orthodox Church. Visit Metekhi Church, a 13th-century stone-and-brick structure overlooking the river, and the 6th-century Anchiskhati Basilica, which is the city’s oldest surviving church.

Days 5-6

Samarkand, Uzbekistan

With evidence of human settlements dating back as far as 1500 BCE, Samarkand is one of the oldest cities in the world. Samarkand was also an influential stop on the legendary Silk Road and the former capital city of the Timur empire, making it a cultural and economic hub for all of Central Asia.

Registan Square was once the centerpiece of ancient Samarkand. Three grand buildings make up this public square, each featuring beautiful blue tilework and massive domes, creating a picture-perfect sight.

Days 7 - 9

Hội An, Vietnam

With its ancient temples, colonial architecture, verdant rice paddies and pristine beaches, the historic port of Hoi An is a melting pot of Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and European cultures. This fusion is reflected in the well-preserved, UNESCO-listed Hoi An Ancient Town.

Days 13-15

Paro, Bhutan

Visit the National Textile Museum, which displays the country’s major weaving techniques, styles of local dress and locally made textiles.

Kathmandu, Nepal

Buddhism and Hinduism peacefully coexist in Nepal, as evidenced in Kathmandu’s diverse array of stupas and temples. Immerse in Kathmandu, a city rich with four UNESCO World Heritage sites that range from colorful spectacles to places of reverent devotion, from the Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath temple to Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Palace.

Taking its inspiration from the Kathmandu Valley’s rich cultural heritage, this centrally located hotel is architecturally modeled after the palaces of the Newar kings. Guest rooms have handwoven linens and handcrafted artisan furniture.
