What’s Hot, What’s Not: December 2022

Esperenza, Los Cabos - Hasselblad

Just like Andrew Harper editors, our members are an opinionated bunch. Here, they positively gush about four of our recommended hotels — including two seaside resorts — and don’t mince words about a 10-room bed-and-breakfast in California.

This column summarizes the observations of our members and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of Andrew Harper editors. Based on the numerous emails that we receive each month, the following hotels and resorts garnered the most revealing positive and/or negative comments.

Jumby Bay Island

Antigua

We received one report of “underpar” beach service, but all other feedback on this “magical” private island resort was exceptionally positive. “Everything about the place, the aesthetics, the people” was “exactly” what one family “was hoping for.” A stay at this hotel inspired another reader to thank their Andrew Harper travel advisor for planning “a Caribbean trip of a lifetime.”
