I love sharing travel with family and friends, and one of the easiest — and most glamorous — ways to explore the world as a group is with a private yacht charter. It offers unparalleled exclusivity and flexibility. Whether you choose a sleek motor yacht or a multimasted sailboat, you’ll have a dedicated crew catering to every need and the freedom to design a fully bespoke voyage. Below are a few of the most exceptional luxury charters available through the Andrew Harper Travel Office. One of our advisors can find a vessel that’s a perfect fit for your group, plus craft a seamless itinerary that includes flights and pre- and post-cruise accommodations.
Built by Cantieri di Pisa in 2000 and elegantly refitted in 2021, the 110-foot Noema is one of the most exciting yachts cruising in Greece and Turkey. Available year-round, this stylish ship reaches up to 23 knots and has zero-speed stabilizers to ensure comfort at anchor. The Donald Starkey-designed interiors exude sophistication with a color scheme of soft silvers and whites enlivened by accents of blue and chestnut. Accommodating up to 12 guests, Noema offers five plush cabins, including a Master Suite with a king bed, walk-in wardrobe and spacious dual-sink bath; two staterooms with queen beds; and two twin cabins featuring Pullman berths and single beds. An expansive sundeck offers a Jacuzzi, lounge chairs and alfresco dining, while the “beach club” provides easy access to the sea via a bathing platform. A dedicated crew of six are on hand, and the array of water toys includes a Jet Ski, water skis, Seabob F5s and stand-up paddleboards. I would have the captain anchor the yacht at Delos, an island near Mykonos covered in magnificent ancient ruins, or near Hydra and Spetses, where elegant harbors offer upscale seaside dining and chic boutiques. A stop at Antiparos to savor the island’s two culinary specialties — rock lobster and octopus — would also be great fun. Weekly rates from about $87,000
The recently refurbished Delfin I offers an intimate and immersive wildlife experience in Peru’s Amazon rainforest. This 75-foot river vessel has just four cabins that host two or three people each. While all accommodations feature floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces, the two lavish 360-square-foot Deluxe Suites also have cool-water whirlpools. Amenities include indoor and outdoor dining areas serving contemporary Peruvian cuisine, an entertainment center and a peaceful lounge. But the activities are what make a journey on Delfin I particularly memorable. You can take guided jungle walks and bird-watching excursions through the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, and you’ll have opportunities to fish for piranhas at sunset and observe pink river dolphins. Because the vessel’s small size allows it to navigate remote tributaries, voyagers can access pristine areas of the national reserve that other larger ships can’t. Rates for a four-night journey from about $39,000
For an unforgettable journey along Croatia’s coast, charter the striking 171-foot Scorpios, a two-masted sailing yacht launched in 2023. With refined interiors in neutral tones, Scorpios has six spacious cabins for up to 12 guests, accompanied by a well-trained crew of 10. The lodgings — one Master Suite, one VIP cabin and four versatile rooms that can be configured as twins or doubles — all come with marble baths. Designed for both relaxation and adventure, the yacht features tranquil lounge spaces, a hot tub and a fitness area. For those seeking more active pursuits, Scorpios offers a comprehensive range of equipment, including paddleboards, Flyboards, wakeboards and fishing rods. The main deck comprises a bar-lounge, a dining area and a fold-out balcony providing memorable views of the innumerable islands, fortified towns and steep vineyards along the stunning coast of Croatia. Cruising the Korčula Archipelago to admire its rugged limestone mountains, visit fine wineries and explore the old Venetian city of Korčula itself would make for an especially memorable excursion. Weekly rates from about $167,000
The 213-foot Eternity motor yacht, with a dedicated crew of 17, provides a refined way to explore the Caribbean in any season. Constructed by Italian company Codecasa in 2010 and refitted in 2022, this vessel accommodates a dozen guests in seven contemporary cabins. The opulent Master Suite offers a whirlpool tub, a walk-in wardrobe and a fold-down balcony, ideal for private breakfasts. Original Bahamian artwork lines the walls of the light-filled common areas, including a bar, an indoor dining room and a lounge. A spacious sundeck has a gym and a Jacuzzi that doubles as a countercurrent swimming pool. The yacht is especially suitable for those with mobility limitations, as it has an elevator that serves all five decks. WaveRunners, water skis, wakeboards, an inflatable climbing wall and an on-water trampoline are also available. You could bonefish in the waters around Andros island in the Bahamas, snorkel around the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park just off Grenada or explore the otherworldly landscape of the Baths in the British Virgin Islands. Most yacht charters run for a week, but I could imagine cruising with Eternity for, well, for a very long time. Weekly rates from about $445,000
