The pace of hotel openings never cease to amaze. Here are a few that have caught our eye, some of which our editors will soon be jetting off to to check out.
Fans of the stately Austrian capital now have a new hotel option to consider for their next visit. Vienna’s roster of luxury properties, which includes famous names such as the Imperial, Sacher and Bristol, received a significant addition in August with the opening of the Rosewood Vienna. This is the first central European hotel for the rapidly expanding Hong Kong-based brand.
Housed within a grand 19th-century neoclassical building, a former bank headquarters dating from 1835, the hotel is situated on Petersplaz at the heart of Vienna’s first district, the Innenstadt, close to many of the city’s most famous sites, including the Hofburg imperial palace and the Spanish Riding School. The 71 rooms and 28 suites are spread over seven floors, and many have views of the majestic green copper dome of the Baroque Peterskirche.
