The editor-in-chief sat down with the Travel Office’s safari experts and our in-country partners, and together, they set out to create the best possible 10-day itinerary of South Africa. For accommodations, we’re using three extraordinary properties that belong to the family-owned Royal Portfolio. Each one has a distinctive personality, maximalist décor and superlative service.

At the itinerary’s heart are several days in a private concession adjacent to famous Kruger National Park, where we’ve booked an entire luxury camp for the exclusive use of our group.
