Iceland has long been on our radar, but the small island nation typically lacked luxury accommodations. That has changed in recent years, and on our latest trip, we found four wildly different hotels to recommend, from a modern apartment-style property in Reykjavík to a seventh-generation horse farm on the southern coast. Of course, most visitors to Iceland spend the majority of their time outdoors, where the natural wonders never cease. Around every corner, it seems, there is a giant waterfall cascading over a cliff, a geothermal hot spring bubbling or a geyser waiting to gush.
