ANOTHER INCREDIBLE YEAR OF TRAVEL
It was such a pleasure to travel in 2023. We took full advantage of the world’s reopening, visiting some 23 countries and reviewing 75 hotels. In addition, we evaluated cruises in Asia, South America and Europe, plus numerous restaurants, lesser-known museums, fashionable boutiques, guided excursions and more than a few cocktail bars. This abundance made assembling our annual Editors’ Choice Awards issue, which encompasses the best of our discoveries in the past year, a real labor of love. Our group of traveling editors is small, but our debates about the winners were fierce. Fortunately, luxury travel is the rare topic that actually leaves you feeling better after you argue about it.
