GOING SOUTH
Living in Argentina can doubtless be maddening at times, but visiting the country is always a pleasure. Our itineraries in past years have focused on its enviable wine regions and breathtaking Iguazú Falls. This time, we returned to its grand capital, Buenos Aires, before venturing into the awe-inspiring wilds of Patagonia. To contrast our trip to South America, we headed to the American South, where we anonymously reviewed hotels and restaurants in beguiling Savannah. We discovered a city dedicated to preserving its history while keeping an eye on the future. And a new crop of world-cruise itineraries has us seriously considering closing up house and heading out to sea for a few months.
