PLACES for the CURIOUS

For too long, we’ve lacked recommendations in Taiwan, one of Asia’s most fascinating destinations. After a recent trip to the main island, which included stays in both the vibrant capital city and the magnificent countryside, we’ve rectified that oversight. We discovered sybaritic resorts, superb restaurants and cultural treasures ranging from palm-size jadeite masterworks to ornate lakeside temples. On a different continent, we returned to three favorite cities in the Low Countries: Bruges, Antwerp and Amsterdam, for days filled with great art and great food. Our excuse to go back was a tulip-themed cruise on a new luxury riverboat. And in another Member Spotlight column, we interview an adventurous couple on a mission.
