URBAN GLAMOUR
I love staying in a luxury hotel in the heart of a great metropolis. The shopping, restaurants and cultural attractions are all close at hand, but when I tire of the bustle, I can retreat to the tranquility of my room, the urban equivalent of a cozy cabin in a snowstorm. New York drew us back with the Frick Collection, reopened at last, plus several stylish hotels. We also spent a wonderful week in Athens, where a new recommendation decisively surpassed a longtime favorite. And for something completely different, we delved deep into the Peruvian jungle aboard an exclusive Amazonian riverboat.
