Elephants, Jabulani, Kapama Private Game Reserve, South Africa

NATURE & NURTURE

People often ask me what my favorite country is, and South Africa ranks near the top of the list. A safari in a private reserve near Kruger National Park never fails to astonish — every visit is different and exciting. The Phinda Private Game Reserve, a short flight to the south, was a delightful surprise, and Cape Town was (unsurprisingly) a great pleasure. Closer to home, we paid incognito visits to three contrasting luxury resorts in and around Santa Barbara, where we ate and drank exceedingly well. A Cruise News article features itineraries with overnights in port, and we’re pleased to publish the latest iteration of our Member Spotlight column. Next month, look for our annual Editors’ Choice Awards.
