TIME to RELAX

Travel nowadays seems to be as much about bettering yourself, bettering the world or bettering both, rather than relaxation. But there’s something to be said for taking a (relatively short) flight to somewhere beautiful and just unwinding. Who couldn’t use a proper vacation every now and then? One favorite retreat of ours is the Bahamas, notably the quieter edges of the archipelago, like Harbour Island and Eleuthera. We recently spent a wonderfully indolent week there. On the opposite side of the continent, days of leisurely wine tastings and spa treatments in the Napa and Sonoma valleys beckoned. And we indulged in a glamorous Mediterranean cruise aboard Silversea’s newest ship.
